BREAK IN THAILAND

From the moment I felt pregnant with my son, I promised to myself that I would never stop doing what I love and makes my heart happy. Being a mom changed my life in so many positive ways and as much as I love spending time with my son and husband, however I also love spending time with myself and believe me, it is necessary.
I was talking the other day on Whatsapp with my friend Klara. She is from Czech Republic and also has a daughter who has the same age of my son. I met Klara 10 years ago in South Africa but she moved back to Prague, her hometown, 8 years ago. On that chat, we decided to meet in Thailand!
I told my husband that I really needed a break to reconnect with myself and he was so understanding and gave me green light to go. Klara also had the same luck so we first met in Dubai and then, we finally land in Phuket, Thailand.
Our hotel Baan Laimai Beach Resort was fantastic, even when we planned to do this trip with a small budget, the quality vs price of this hotel was so good and we were really surprised!  The swimming pool, rooms and installations were great.
On our way to Wat Chalong, the largest and most visited Buddhist Temple in Phuket.
Wat Chalong was built at the beginning of the 19th century. Tourists and locals come to pray and pay respect to several revered monks who were the founders of this magestic place. Besides praying, people can also apply gold leaf to the statues, light incenses and candles.
She is my friend Klara. It is was so special to spend this trip with her.

THE BIG BUDDHA
I came with my husband in 2009 when they were building it. They haven't finish it yet however it is still a place with a very powerful energy. We mediated here, met a monk who blessed us through a kind of ritual and gave us a bracelet as symbol of protection.

As sign of respect,  covering the legs and shoulders (I am not in this pic) is compulsory to visit any temple.
Our henna tattoos: the signature of our trip.
NIGHT IN PHUKET

Well, the nights in Patong Beach are famous for its diversity and many options for eating and dancing. We went to Bangla Street which was crazy, fun and insane. It is a 400 meter street with neon lights, cheap beer and lots of bars that offers different type of shows from live music to striptease.

 I am wearing:

Jumsuit: YDE (Young Designers Emporium)
Heels: Cotton On

Stay tuned, more about Thailand and the video soon!
